"I’m Chris Kelley and we are here with Expert Village. If you are too far back you have no control. You are going to lose the front end and you are not going to be able to control. If you are too far forward, the backend is going to want to bounce and kick around. That is where if you are in the center you can work the bike. You can work it with your hips back, forward and get the feel. When you are going along through a whooped out area, a lot of times you can just go through the area on the power, keep your weight slightly back and let your suspension do the work. If there are bigger whoops sometimes you can double into them, triple, jump into one and double the next one but just for a natural roughed out area, you don’t want to maintain that attack position beyond the power of looking ahead. Look where you want to go and pick your line. Don’t just say I want to go to that turn and just wherever the bike ends up taking you go there. Look every little second where you want to go and go there. Until you can go where you want to go and you have that control, then it is going to be difficult for you to maintain the bike in more of a high speed situation. So basically you want to go through these conditions at a slower rate of speed until you feel comfortable. Then start picking up the pace and feel it. Feel those bumps and soak it up. Let the bike do the work and stay over it. A lot of times when you are into the power and you are on the throttle and looking ahead, you will float over that stuff other than rolling through it. You will be bounced over it and your suspension will soak up the problem areas. Motor cross is a dangerous sport as is any motorcycling or any motor sports. Please don’t try any of these stunts or these riding techniques at home unless you are with a trained professional or you are at a specific track or a specific location where you can ride in that capacity. Please make sure you check all of your local regulations and rules because everywhere you ride could be different. "
