"I’m Chris Kelley and we are here with Expert Village. We are going to run through today how to change a tire on your MX bike. Now these are not knives or throwing sticks. These are tire irons. These come in handy if you are going to be changing a tire or changing a tube. Without them it is very difficult trying to wedge screwdrivers and as such into the tire. So once you have rim lock loose, want to start here and work that tire down and take the tire iron. What you are doing is popping the tire out from inside of the rim. Generally the first one is gonna hold the tire out. Got a good chunk of rubber out on that one. You have to be careful when doing this about pinching the tube. You don’t want to pinch your tube when you are putting your tire back on or removing it because then you have the ability to puncture a brand new tube. In this situation, we are just changing the tube so I might not have to take the tire completely off. Should be able to reach in. There it is. Out with the old and in with the new. I’m going to put a little air in here, just a tad to keep the tube from getting pinched because it will allow it to float around and not crease over on itself. Seems to be holding, seems not to be well dry rotted and let’s insert the tube. Tire all the way around, try not to get the tube creased or pinched over on itself. This is what you deal with when you are out on the track. You don’t have prime conditions to work on stuff as you do in your garage. Got the valve stem through the hole, just a few turns, hold your tube in place. "
