"I’m Chris Kelley and we are here with Expert Village. We are out at Motor cross Practice track today doing a little riding and somehow got a flat tire. We are going to run through today on how to change a tire on your MX bike. The first thing we are going to have to take off the chain. I’m going to spin the chain around, find your master link, pop the master link off with that screwdriver in a forward motion loosen that up and make sure you don’t lose your parts. A lot of guys like myself have a parts tray, magnetic tray. Put your parts in it so you won’t lose it. I’m going to axel bull the slight tap here to free it up. I am going to slide it out, pull your wheel out, take off your dust covers, and try to keep them clean and free of dirt. If you have a milk crate or some kind of barrel or something you can set the tire on. It makes a good work station. You can work alone and get it off. You want to go around and push all the tire down and break the bead and make sure that it is not stuck. Also, you are going to have to undo this rim lock. The rim lock squashes down and holds the tire to the rim so it does not slip when you are in high power. We are just changing the tube here. First of all, we are going to move the nut off the tube stem. I am going to set in my little tray of parts. We are going to have remove this rim lock. Usually on most motor cross bikes your rim lock is going to a 12 millimeter wrench. What you want to do is loosen that right up so it moves freely. "
