"Just as with anything else you do, whether it's a musical instrument or an athletic--or something athletic--getting used to your gun is something that takes time and you've got to get used to too. With a rifle, even though all your doing is looking down a scope and taking a shot, sometimes those shots have to come off kind of quick, and you've got to get used to being able to set up and set yourself up quick to take that quick shot and be comfortable with doing that. Okay, without mentioning specific brand names, choosing a small game rifle is all about what fits you the best and what you're actually hunting. Small game can be taken with anything from a twenty-two caliber to something a little bigger than that. But in any case that you do, you want to make sure that it's a quality gun. For those that have owned guns, having a cheap gun--a cheap semiautomatic small game rifle, which is usually, is actually very common to have a semiautomatic small game rifle. They can easily jam up on your or they can become dysfunctional which not only can be dangerous, it takes the fun out of the sport. So, choosing a high quality rifle that fits the animals that you're hunting and fits you personally is what you need to look for."
