on 9/11/2009 I think these videos are very good. I remember as a kid how much fun I had with my bb gun. Bb guns and boys just seem to go together. As an adult I started a self defense products website at http://www.proselfdefenseproducts.com We carry Airsoft bb guns as a sideline on the site. I encourage parents to get a bb gun for your child. It is a great learning experience and a lot of fun for old and young alike. We have the spring air models which have to be cocked before each shot. As such they are much safer for the younger children and provide an opportunity to teach them safety and respect for firearms. We also have the CO2 models for older and more experienced users. You can see our selection at http://www.proselfdefenseproducts.com/airsoftbbgun I hope will come by and see what we have to offer. Thank you for your time,
Ken

on 5/7/2009 Chris is holding a Gamo P-23. He should state that you always read the manufactures instruction sheet before operating the weapon. This particular model shoots both BB's and pellets. However this model has a rifled barrel for the pellets. Most BB guns have a smooth barrel. The instruction manual stated that you should never use steel BB, always use Gamo Lead BB's otherwise you will damage the riffling in the barrel.

on 5/7/2009 Chris needs to clarify how far the BB gun shoots. Is it 200 feet or 200 yards (600 feet) He states both distances in the video.

"CHRISTOPHER HOWELL: Hi, my name is Christopher Howell. I'm speaking on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to demonstrate on how to use a pellet a.k.a. a BB gun, on how to use it and maintain it. It can still shoot it up to about 200 feet which is still pretty far with a little bit of power. At that distance, mind you not, if you get hit, it's probably not going to hurt you unless it hits you in your eye or something. But at least it's good to know that that's about how far this thing will shoot. It's probably about 200 yards. And also with cleaning and maintaining your barrel, a lot of times people will actually dislodge the barrel. With something like this, I probably would never take the barrel off of myself. If I really needed to clean it, I'd go ahead and open one end and maybe get like a q-tip and run it down a little bit, and then through the other end. Go ahead and get one of those little wires with the little teeth on and clean it out. But you want to be careful with cleaning your barrel. You're not trying to scrape it or anything. You're just kinda getting any type of residue that may build up or gunk or anything. This is Christopher Howell with Expert Village."
