"I want to talk about the running portion of the triathlon just a few tips and some key opponents first make sure you have good running clothes during training you know good run shorts, breathable tops, sports bras, all the gear that you need. When your training and actually doing a triathlon it's going to be real helpful and useful if you can get some bike shorts that you can swim, bike, and run in. Okay thats going to be quick drying there going to have the bike pad in them and there going to feel comfortable for the race and during all the discipline of the sport. So go ahead and get you a good pair of cross training shorts that you can do all the discipline. Also you want to make sure that you have a really good pair of sunglasses not only for the race but also for training from protecting your eyes and just to help you see better during that time. On your run shoe I suggest that you get what they call is a zip shoe string, it's a stretchy shoe string you can get it in quickly off and on your foot without having a mess with ties. Okay it's going to feel comfortable and it's going to be quick and that's what your looking for speed, and triathlon to get in and out of your shoes. So you don't have to adjust the shoe strings in a race, you want to get that going. During your running the first goal that you have your going to pick your race and your going to ask yourself can I complete the run portion. Now remember that your going to swimming, and biking and then running so endurance is the key, not only should you be able to run a 5k if your doing a sprint distance triathlon you should be able to run at least 2 miles beyond that while training so you should be able instead of 3 miles you should at least be able to run 5 miles. That's going to be the extra endurance that you need to complete the race that's a key aspect that your going to have to focus on , so make sure when you train for running that you can run just a little bit further than what there asking for you to do during the race since it's the last portion."
