"CALAB LABARDA: Oh, hi. My name is Calab Labarda. I'm a third degree black belt in Taekwondo. I'm here with Expert Village, and today, I'm going to teach you how to use speed chucks. Alright, the next we're going to be talking what's called a helicopter spin, okay? Now, a helicopter spin, you can't make it look sloppy. You don't want to look like this in this circle 'cause that's just look silly, right? Okay, so helicopter spin is you hit, bam, everybody going around, okay? So, practice like that first. So, your hands are going to be out. You're going to go hand flat like this all around, hit, okay? Then we add a spin. One, already here, okay? So, that's a big hit. You can hit, say, if you're doing a form of Kata, okay, you can come all the way around, wow, it's really cool, boom! All the way back to the hip, and then go into your moves, okay? So, one more time, when you're doing it, extend your arm. You want the nunchuck to look like one stick, okay? As you come all the way around, and then let it bend, come back to here. Okay, so practice going around, bam, okay? And if you want to do a straight like this, strike, okay? From head, strike, okay? It's a good way to build that momentum for a strike, but I like to do it with the whole spin. Went around, strike, okay, or you can do on to your knee. Went around, drop to your knee, come back up, strike. So, you're switching levels that's what you want to need or you can do just plainly on your knee from here, spin around, strike and stay on your knees, comeback around, strike and catch under the arm. Come out and catch, okay? So, that's going to be called your helicopter spin. Practice putting it together, L strike, you use some spins over the wrist, doing the X, come in a helicopter spin back around, catch into a good pose."
