"CALAB LABARDA: Oh, hi. My name is Calab Labarda, I'm a third degree black belt in Taekwondo. I'm here with Expert Village, and today, I'm going to teach you how to use speed chucks. Alright, so now we're going to go over our first strike. It's going to be called "the L strike" or "the L combination." We're going to be making an L-shape with our nunchuck all through our body, okay. So from here, start on your shoulder, okay. Now from here, we're going to cross to the other side of our body, across, one, two, and back up, three, so again, one, two, back up, three. Okay. So then, now, start getting it in a nice, smooth motion, okay. Nunchucks should look smooth, and it should look flowy with kind of a snap, okay. But you, also, don't want to beat up your body at the same time, so you want to go here, one, two, three. Okay. Now, your strike is right here across, one, that's your strike, two, three. Wind up again for the next strike, one, two, three, back to ready position, okay, one, two, three. Now, as you notice, I'm not standing still like this, beating up my body. That's going to hurt and start stinging after while. When I do it, I roll it around my body, okay, and back, okay. So roll, side to side and up. Okay. I don't want to stay here, and just beat up my body, okay, that's going to hurt. So we already start rolling, one, two, three, gotta move with your nunchucks. It's gotta flow, one, two, three. Okay. And that's how you start to getting into your speed chuck. So, once again, practice slow. Put one hand by the face in case you start messing up. Okay. So from here, one, two, three, side, side, shoulder, side, side, shoulder, one more time, across, strike, one, two, three. Then as you get it, start doing it faster and faster for speed, okay. It's called the speed chuck."
