"CALAB LABARDA: Oh, hi. My name is Calab Labarda, I'm a third degree black belt in Taekwondo. I'm here with Expert Village, and today, I'm going to teach you how to use speed chucks. Alright now, we're going to be--go over on how to hold your nunchucks, it's very important that you hold it properly. You don't want to hold it way down here on the stick, okay. It's going to loose control and look really ugly and sloppy, okay. You don't want to hold it too high, or else the string is not going to go give you a good spin, and you're going to end up hitting your hand and pinching it, okay. You want to hold it one thumb link from the top. So it'll look like this, one thumb link from the top, alright, here. Okay. And then, right here, you can see it has pins it. I like to hold it right below the pins. Okay. Now, sometimes as you do your nunchucks, you're going to be moving your hands up and down the nunchuck just like that, okay, as you start getting the spin in there, okay. So, you got to make sure you're hold it correctly, one thumbing from the top, okay. If you every switch and hold it like upside down, that's fine too, okay. You don't want to hold it--again, you don't want to hold it too low like this, or too high, okay. Too low or too high, there we go just like that. So we can flip it back around, it will look like that. You want to get one thumbing from the top again, okay. Now, if you're doing finger spins like flipping it over, you're going to do things like that, flip it all the way back over, and all the way back around, okay. But always try to catch it, one thumbing from the top, okay. Sometimes, you will be higher for certain moves. For pinching it, we can start again into more of those advanced spins, okay. But remember, right here, that's where you always want to be."
