"Hi, this is Bruce Lessels from Zoar Outdoor for expertvillage.com talking about camping. So depending on how far you’re going to get to your campsite you may want to carry your gear in either smaller more compact packages or in a backpack style package. If you’re canoe camping of course, you may just want to be landing your canoe on shore and camping only a few 20, 30, 40 feet from your canoe, in which case you can carry small pieces up to the campsite. This is a great way to package a foam pad, it’s inside a stuff sack and stuff sacks in general area good way to keep things organize so that you’re always sure what you have inside there and that things can stay together. This is a stuff sack containing a small tent and again that’s another good way to keep things organize, keep your tent together, keep all the tent poles together with it. A backpack is always a nice way to organize gear and of course if you are backpacking that’s going to be your main way of carrying gear. It’s even not a bad way to carry gear from the car to the campsite and sometimes canoe camping even this is a good way to fit a backpack into the canoe and then you have an option for portages to be able to carry the backpack on your back as well. If you are canoe camping or car camping it’s a great idea to have a cooler with you. This is a soft cooler that can just carry a little bit of food but this can keep some of the essential food cold and allow you to have fresh meat and fresh vegetables for several days. So those are various ways to carry the gear to your campsite."
