"Hi, this is Bruce Lessels from Zoar Outdoor for expertvillage.com talking about camping. So just because you’re camping out in the woods doesn’t mean you have to put up with bad food. You can bring lots of good food to the woods with you and depending on whether you get there by car or by boat or by hiking, you may have various options. If you’re car supported or you’re in a canoe or a kayak and you got some room for gear, you might bring a cooler with you and the thing about a cooler is you want to keep it close as much as you can to keep the ice cold. But when you do open it you might carry some things in it, you can carry fresh food, fresh vegetables, fresh meat. If you don’t have a cooler and you don’t have as much fresh food you can always bring some freeze dried food or some dried food like some various pasta dishes that you can buy in a grocery store, lots of options for those. You can also bring gorp as snack, that’s a great way to get some energy and get some salt and get some sugar and some carbohydrates. I’m a big fan of roman noodles as a sort of a catch all meal for lunch, dinner, even breakfast if you need to and then of course you can bring tea and hot chocolate and other options for hot drinks. It’s always a good idea to bring some energy bars, something along that’ll give you some quick energy just when you’re feeling like you’re sugar low. So lots of options for food, don’t be limited by these options, you can bring fresh food if you got room for a cooler and just keep the cooler closed as much as you can so the ice stays cold and it lasts as long as it will.
