How to Choose a Tent for your Camping Trip

"Hi, this is Bruce Lessels from Zoar Outdoor for expertvillage.com talking about camping. Your tent is your home for the night, it’s going to be the place you’re going to sleep, the thing that’s going to protect you from the weather, from bugs and its going to be the thing that’s going to be an important part of your camping experience. There are several different kinds of tents and depending on whether you’re car camping or you’re canoe camping or you’re hiking, you may want to choose a tent that’s larger, gives you more space but is heavier and more difficult to carry. Or if you’re backpacking you may want to choose a smaller more compact tent that’s not going to be as heavy but its also not going to give you quiet as much room inside. This is sort of classic A frame camping tent and nice and strong, supportive. It doesn’t give you quiet much room as a dome tent but it is plenty strong enough and it has plenty of room inside, this is a two person model. Over here is more of a modern dome tent and this again is about a two person tent but it gives you a little more room because the shape of the tent and the flexible poles allow the tent to have more room on the sides. This tent is going to have a nice zipper opening and has lots of room inside and will keep you nice and safe from weather and keep the bugs out as well."
