" Hi, this is Bruce Lessels from Zoar Outdoor on behalf of expertvillage.com, talking about choosing and setting up a campsite. So sun like wind can both act for you and against you. In a real open area in a place where there’s a lot of intense sun you may want to be getting away from it and you may seek the shade. In that case a place like this where there’s a lot tree cover and a lot of shade from the sun may be a good choose. In a case where you’re actually in a cooler place and you’re looking for a more sunny site, you may choose a place where there’s a more open tree cover and an area such as over here where the tree cover opens up a bit and you have a bit more sun and a bit more warmth from the sun. It can be cold sleeping in a shady kind of a darker area and a lot of times evergreen forests or darker forests will be that way and you may want to seek in more sunny areas in those places. Sun of course is going to be nice for staying warm, but too much sun is going to be a problem and it can actually also degrade the nylon in your sleeping bag and your tent and in your other gear and it can ultimately get old after a while. So sight for sun or shade depending on which one, where you’re looking for more of and you’ll be a happy camper."
