It keeps everything together and prevents the tent from opening back up and becoming a mess during transportation. Again, with your tight roll, simply insert it into the bag and gently work the bag down over the tent. Once that is accomplished, remember to put the support poles back into the supplied bag. Tie them off and just slide them in beside the fabric of the tent."
