"Hi! This is Ben Jordan from expertvillage.com and I am going to talk to you about how to pack for your bike ride. When you are packing for your bike ride, you will want to make sure that you pack your bag in a way that keeps all of the objects stable in your bag. You don't want your weight shifting around on your bicycle so the order in which you put things in your backpack as well as the choices of things you choose to bring are going to be important to how safe you are while you are on y our bicycle. Putting large objects that take up most space and that are roughly the size of the backpack to stabilize all of the items that are in the backpack. Books, laptops or other large items can go in first. It is important to bring tools as well for fixing your bike if you are going to be going on a long bike ride so you aren't stranded. For example you have a popped tire or you need to tighten up a bolt. These are both common things that need to be done so having a Allen wrench and a bike tire iron are all things that are important to bring with you. Smaller, easy carry versions can be found at any bike shop. Make sure to bring your cell phone and possibly some identification just in case of any accidents or any emergencies. If you are going to be carrying liquids in your bag, make sure that they are sealed tightly because you are going to be jostling around the bike quite a bit. You don't want these liquids to get loose and get all over the rest of your items in your backpack. When you are putting it into the backpack, it might be a good idea to stick it up against one of the edges to keep it secure as well. "
