"Hi! This is Ben Jordan. I am here to talk to you about braking while on the bike trail. When you are stopping on the bike trail, it is important to keep in mind a few simple things. First of all look in front of you and behind you before you brake. Other cyclists are on the trail with you and it is important to just keep in mind where they are before you stop. When you decide to brake, make sure that no one is directly behind you as you will be slowing down. Brake in a slow and steady manner. Be sure to give anyone around you enough time to realize that you are slowing down. Be visible to other cyclists by giving a hand signal letting others know that you are braking. When you apply your brakes, be sure to stay to the right. This allows other cyclists to pass you and make sure you stay out of their way while you are slowing down."
