"I am going to talk a little bit about selecting your sleeping bag. I get customers that come in all the time and the go. Ah I don't want to be confined I want to have you know a big bag. Here?s a rectangular bag and here is a mummy bag. The key difference between these two this is about five pounds some odd and this is under three pounds. Which do you want to carry? Do you want to carry the extra weight? For the extra room? That?s the thing about rectangular bags is you have to you have all that extra room it s not a compressible. This one you can get very small. Doesn't take that much room in your pack its lighter and being a mummy bag its going to be more thermally efficient. So which one do you want to carry in your pack? Do you want be hoofing a lot? Or do you want to have a little extra room for your food and a lighter pack. If you have any questions give your local outfitter a holler."
