" Hi! my name is Brandon and I work at BC Surf-n-Sport here in Coral Springs, Florida. You can find us on the web at www.bcsurf.com. Today I am going to tell you how to maintain a skateboard. Mainly just make sure you don’t want your board in the rain because if you do your grip tape will definitely get ruined, it won’t be as grippy and your wood will start to delaminate and that isn’t also very good. Also, make sure that you don’t ride through water because if you do your bearings would get rusty and they won’t be able to turn as much, you have to get new bearings, and make sure to never ever use WD40 in your bearings, they will get them really oily. Make sure you go to your logo skate shop and buy a bearing lubricant that will help a lot. Also, make sure never leave it out in sun for a long period of time because the wood could start to delaminate also and if your board does delaminate it is not your fault, it is the manufacturer’s fault. So you may just want to return it back to the skate shop and they will send it back out for you."
