Series Summary

Snow skiing may very well be the best sport in the world. Anyone that has skied, whether they would ski again or not, can at least attest to the exhilaration of racing down the mountain. Under control or even out of control, skiing is a blast for almost all ages. Even for beginners skiing can be fun - albeit somewhat painful. Those painful times of skiing do not just exist when your start skiing however; whenever a skier decides to progress in skiing ability it is a challenging and often uncomfortable task. Nevertheless, it is not enough to keep us off the slopes, and in fact the better instruction a skier has the more easy the transition from beginning skiing to advanced skiing.

Snow skiing equipment also plays a big role in the comfort level of a skier. In this free video series, our expert will teach you how to pick ski equipment for the best skiing experience. You will learn how to pick recreational or freestyle skis, as well as ski boots for men and women. You will also learn how to pick good ski bindings, ski poles, and ski goggles. Get tips on ski helmets, jackets and pants as well. If you are interested in learning to ski, the first step is finding the right equipment and our expert is here to help.

"In this section I am going to be giving you a run through on the generic recreational ski. This is going to be more of your beginner's style ski, you're going to be able to find this type of ski in your typical rental shop. And as you notice here, the bindings and everything is already on the ski, you don't have to worry about picking out all your stuff, it's going to be for your first time skiing. You're definitely going to want to try out a few different pieces of equipment to learn what size you like, what shape you like, and everything that goes along with it. So when you get up to the rental shop, everyone who works there will be able to help you out, you fill out all the information and from your skill level they'll give you a specific ski, and it's going to be able to make it, so instead of worrying about purchasing all the stuff for your first time, when you don't really know exactly what you need, like I said you'll be able to test out a few different things. See what you like and see what you have more fun with. And this is pretty much the generic recreational ski, like I said, that you would fin in your typical rental shop."
