"Ok, so in this section I'm going to be teaching you how to make a proper snow skiing stop. With your body in the proper stance with your arms up and your legs shoulder width apart, what you want to do is take your downhill ski so in this case my left heel ski and put enough pressure on it to come to a stop. Its going to be similar to how you made the turn lifting some of the pressure off the uphill ski and putting more pressure right here and its going to make it so you're making the turn but you're making the turn so hard that its going to make it so you actually come to a stop similar to as if figure skater or a hockey skater would actually come to a stop on ice. You're going to want to dig your edges in like this and make sure that your legs stay shoulder width apart so you don't catch your edge and fall forward or slip out because your legs are too far apart. And that's how you make a proper snow skiing stop. Ok, so in this section I'm going to be teaching you how to do a basic snow skiing stop. Its going to be very similar to the way that you actually make a turn in that you're putting pressure on your downhill ski. The only difference is you're going to be putting a lot more pressure thus resulting so you actually come to a complete stop. So what I'm going to do now is make a few simple turns then I'm going to stop with my left leg facing downhill thus making the stop to my right. So now with your body in the proper position making the turns, you want to go and put a lot of pressure right here and make a stop similar to as an ice skater, a figure skater, a hockey skater would actually make a stop on ice. You just want to go and make a stop like that."
