"Alright, I'm Bobby Larew. We're talking about diving, we're talking about how to do a proper head first entry. Now, what do I do with my head? What do I do with my shoulders? You may not think about your shoulders in an entry, but they are very important, okay? So here's how it's going to work. The shoulders, as you lock and squeeze your biceps against your ear and your arms are straight, your shoulders are actually going to move up a little bit. You see how that works? I'm taking my shoulder and I'm trying to touch it to the bottom of my ear. Watch how it looks, and now my shoulders are trying to touch the bottom of my ear. Here's why we're doing that. In diving the longer you can make your body look, the better the line is going to appear, okay? So a long line is going to give the better appearance than something that's short, okay? Now how do I use my head in diving? As I close my hands, lock my elbows and move my shoulders up, my head is going to tilt up and I'm actually going to look at my hands as they hit the water, okay? Remember we're trying to give the appearance of a nice, slender line. You don't want your head down, you don't want your head back out. You want your head right in between your biceps, and you want to be looking up with your eyes at your hands. That's how your shoulders and head work in a front entry."
