"Hey buddy, how you doing? Bobby Larew here, talking about diving. We just talked about spinning in the air and we talked about figuring out where we are in the air. Once we have seen the water and we are ready to kick out of our dive and actually do a dive, what does that look like? To some people when they kick out just means go like this and flop your body in strange ways that you're probably going to hurt yourself. So how do you kick out properly? Let us just focus on the lower body right now, okay. I am going to get down on the floor, it is going to be easier to show you. We are up in our nice tight tuck. I have been spinning around in the air reverse, I have seen the water, I know I am ready to kick out, okay, when I see the water, what I want to do is get one last tight squeeze, soon as I do that I am going to kick out the lower body. Here is what it looks like, my feet are going to shoot out towards the ceiling, okay just like that, my toes are pointed, my legs come together, if you noticed in my tuck I have my knees slightly apart because they are into my shoulders to give me a nice tighter spin as I kick out, I point the toes, bring the knees together, keep my legs straight. That is how you kick out with the legs and lower body."
