"Alright everybody Bobby Larew here. Talking about doing a reverse dive pike. I just showed you what you need to be doing with the upper body, with your arms; make sure that they come out and extended and staying pointed. Now let's talk about what goes on with your hips and your lower body as you're coming out of a reverse dive pike. The biggest mistake and probably the first mistake that a lot of people make; after they touch and there pike, they bend their knees. They bend their knees because they need a little extra help getting around to make the dive. So you don't want to bend your knees when you kick out of reverse dive pike. You want to keep them straight, o.k. The way to make sure you land vertical in the water with the legs on the kick out is this; as you touch and come out you want to concentrate on taking your feet and your legs and pushing them up to the ceiling. That's what I always tell my divers when they, they've got a little problem and they tend to fall short. I'm asking them; are you stretching your feet to the ceiling, o.k. Now when you stretch your feet to the ceiling make sure that you don't arch your back, o.k. So proper position for the legs when you kick out is toes pointed, stretch your feet and your legs to the ceiling; don't arch your back."
