"Hi, I'm Bobby Larew. Talking about diving today. You know the French word for diving is "plongee"? Now you know, okay? And if you're French and you're watching this and I'm wrong, well. I'm the one doing the video. Here we go. What do we do with our arms on an inward dive pike? Okay? On the take-off. Remember our take-off is after we circle down, we push the board down, and our arms are coming back up and we're getting ready to take off. Any inward that you do, it's very, very, very important that you have your arms up, ready to go, before the board starts to rise up. Okay? So it looks like this. Down into the board, my arms circle through, and before the board comes up, my arms are already up. Okay? I need to have my arms up, because if they're not, I'm going to be really slow in getting off the board and I won't be in the right position. So, good position with the arms and upper body and head is this. Arms up before the board starts to travel back up. Okay. And I'm actually going to have my arms just slightly in front of me. In other things, like the back group and the reverses, we've had our arms back here. But in inwards, we want our arms just slightly ahead of our ears, okay? That's where your arms should be in an inward."
