"Hi, I'm Bill with Zoar Outdoor here on behalf of expertvillage.com. Today we're at Chapel Ledges in Ashfield, Massachusetts the Trustees of the Reservations property and in this series I'm going to be talking about rock climbing gear. Clothing for rock climbing, what do you want to wear when you go out climbing? Well, it's outdoors you need to be prepared for whatever is happening outdoors that day. You want to be comfortable and you want to be able to move around. A lot of different variations on the idea, but most of what you wear to go out for a hike is probably going to be okay. Pants, shorts, things that you're going to be able to move around in, you want to be able to pick up your leg and step up high and reach out far. You might want something that's a little bit stretchy, that works, you might just want something that's kind of baggy. If it's going to be sweaty or raining, it's nice to have something that's synthetic and so you're not going to get a soggy and uncomfortable and you might want to bring along, in the fall you might want to bring along a fleece or something warm to make sure you don't get chilled when you're standing around in between climbs. Generally speaking it's not too technical, you want to just be comfortable."
