"Hi I'm Bill with Zoar Outdoor on behalf of expertvillage.com we are here today at a Chapel Ledges at Ashfield, Massachusetts and in this series I'm going to be talking about the basics of moving on rock. Another thing to think about when you are climbing overhangs is moving up without using a lot of muscle. So using your feet well sometimes using a outside ledge over foot and turning your knee in and then using the rotation of your shoulders to get your hand higher without really pulling up very much so from here if I pull in a little bit, rotating my hips and my shoulders I can reach way over where I was without doing a whole lot of pulling up. So using your feet by keeping your hips close, letting your arms hand back so you don't use a lot of muscle, using opposite hand and foot so you stay in balance and rotating your shoulders along with your hips often to get the greatest amount of reach with the least amount of effort."
