Video Transcript

"ANTHONY LUCAS: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Anthony Lucas of the Bujinkan Koteki Dojo of New York City. Today, I'm going to show advanced techniques of Ninjutsu. Over the next 3 clips, we're going to be working with weapons. The first weapon we're going to work with is the--this is called a shinai, a padded shinai, which is replacement of a sword. So as we're here, [PH] Marion is in the kamae, and I'm in kamae. Marion is ready. Her intention is to cut--or shall I say strike down at my neck. So if Marion begins to come to strike on the neck, I'm going to step out and I would roll block her sword. As I do that, I'm going to step to the side, I'm going to come in and just sort of like, she cuts herself, okay? So, the same thing now. Again, I'm in Kamae and Marion's in Kame. As Marion comes in to do strike, I do the block from here, I step here, and I come here and allow her to cut herself here. So, in real time will be as she comes, I'll step here, come here, and I'll come and just drop, like this."
