" Hi! I'm Anna Marie and I am a Canadian Olympic rower and I am here on behalf of expertvillage.com. I'm going to talk a little bit about training logs. If you are thinking about becoming a competitive rower as with any competitive sport, I would highly recommend getting yourself a training log and starting to record what you are doing, how hard you are doing it and how you feel about it. Any competitive athlete in almost any sport has probably been told to start writing in their training journal. I also highly recommend this. It is a great way to keep track of how things are going for you, any changes you are making, keep track of the goals that you are setting, that you are achieving or maybe what you are falling short on. It can really help in the long run also being able to determine if you are over training or if you are not training hard enough. The way that I do it is first thing every morning, the first thing that I do is open my training log. I set out short goals for what I want to accomplish that day in my training and I also keep track of certain things like my food, my heart rate and my weight to make sure that I am still in a healthy position for my training. I'll talk a little bit more about each of those later. "
