"Hi I'm Andrew Bridden I'm here on behalf of expertvillage.com we are at the Arizona Center of Mixed Martial Arts. I'm a fighter here Robert Garcia to my right in the gray is our head boxing instructor and Freddy Luna in the blue is one of our fighters. The technique that they are demonstrating is proper defensive knees. Knee attacks. Freddy got a really good Thai clinch on showing a really good Thai clinch there. Right now Robert is in a pretty bad spot okay because this body is opening and Freddy got really good control over his head. So Freddy is free to throw knees or whatever he wants pretty much and it would do a lot of damage to Rob. So Rob is going to defend this by putting Freddy of balance and this is especially important if Freddy was stronger then him. If the opponent who is attacking is stronger. So Rob's theory here in defending this is to throw him off balance as the knee comes he is going to throw Freddy the opposite way to limit the power that he has because if you don't have the base of balance you cant really effectively deliver a power strike. So that is what he is trying to do is he senses the attack coming he kind of shift Freddy's balance so the technique does no damage. Rob has other options that we cover in other segments as far as regaining another clinch positions but, for right now all he is doing is just trying to take Freddy off balance. So this is especially useful when some one has you in a bad position you need to find a way to minimize the damage and this is one way of doing that. "
