"ALVIN DEDEAUX: Okay, so now that we've got the tapered section of the body done and the thread up here at the midsection of the hook, what we need to do is bring this wire rib forward. And this does a couple of things. It gives that body sort of a segmented look when we wrap it forward, and it also protects those Pheasant Tail fibers. You know, if the fish's tooth grabs it, this wire ribbing will keep that fly from just completely getting ripped apart. So what we want to do is just sort of kinda spiral that forward. I want to try to make it even if we can, and we want to wrap it in front of where we stopped with that thread. And you can even do a couple of wraps in front of it because this section here is going to be a little bit thicker than the section behind it. So it's okay to put a few extra wraps to that wire. That wire will also give the fly a little bit of weight. Okay, so now that we're here, we got our wire wrapped forward. We're going to get our wire cutters again. Don't use your scissors and just clip that off and then you kinda have to smooth that end down. And I'd like to give it--just put a couple of wraps of the thread around it just to kind of smooth over that wire. Okay, so now we got our wire rib done."
