"ALVIN DEDEAUX: Okay, so I'm going to take the fibers and attach them right back at the bend of the hook where I've got my tail attached. I'm going to attach the thin end first, the thin end first. And now, make a few quick wraps back here in the back. I'm going to go ahead and bring my thread up about midway on the hook and stop there. That's where that taper is going to stop. So I'm just going to go ahead and just wrap this forward and kind of try to keep those fibers together. I'm getting a little bit of thickness here as I'm coming forward because the diameter of the fibers is increasing. Okay, I get about to the midsection of the hook and then I'm going to tie this off. So I'm just going to hold this out to the side, put a couple of wraps around it to sort of lock that down and then I'm going to clip the end of those fibers off. And now I've got my taper. Looking pretty good so far."
