"ALVIN DEDEUX: So fly tying is a very, very interesting sport, and the fly-tying materials are just unlimited. Just about anything you can imagine you can make a fly out of, from lost shoes, road kill, if you're a hunter. You've probably got all kinds of stuff you can use to tie flies with. Some people clip the hair off of their dogs and tie flies with them. That's one of the kinda cool things about it. You can real innovative with your fly tying by just some of the materials you can use. You could be surprised at some of the things that people have used to tie flies with. And some of the more successful patterns that have been tied out of some kind of bizarre offhand materials have led to people scavenging all over the place trying to find these obscure and bizarre materials. Sometimes, they are just throwaway trash, junk, but it is part of the fun, being creative and coming up with stuff and making stuff out of nothing. So we'll go into a little bit of that here in a second."
