Attaching a Clouser Minnow Eye

"ALVIN DEDEUX: Next step is to attach our dumbbell eye to the hook and what we're going to do is, okay, you kinda sit it there and see like, "Yeah, that looks good. That's about where I want it." So I'll leave my thread where I had it and I'll put it on. I kinda put the eye on the hook at an angle like so, and I'm just going to wrap straight over it to get it started. You could put it on straight and try to do crisscross wraps but you get a lot better seated if you started off here, put the eye at an angle and then wrap straight over the hook, maybe four or five wraps. Then, and you can see, that's got it on there pretty solidly. Then I'll really crank it. Pull it over to the side. Now, I've got the eyes straight, the way I want 'em, across the shank of the hook, and then I'm just going to make a few wraps, five or six wraps going back the other direction. And that really locks those eyes; I can barely move 'em. They're really locked on there. So then once I get it there, I'll go ahead and do a few crisscross wraps, really lock it in there, okay. If you wanted to, right now, you could put a drop of cement, head cement or glue in there to really lock that thing down tight. And now, we're ready to go onto the next step."
