"Okay the next one we'll do is The Improved Clinch Knot. It's uh, basically we tie a Clinch Knot and we do one little trick to it that makes it a little bit stronger. Hence the name The Improved Clinch Knot. Poke it through the eye of the hook. Give yourself a little tag, maybe three, four inches. Grab it between your fingers here. Wrap it around the standing end, one, two, three, four, five times. You can do more or you can do less. Okay and then, we're going to do it just like we did the Clinch Knot. We're going to stick it back through that space there, but we're going to do one more step. We're going to take the tag end and run it through this loop here that we made when we brought that tag end back, So we're going to go through there. And that is what makes it the Improved Clinch Knot. We pull it tight after we lubricate it of course. And this does make it a little bit stronger. And if you're, if it's really critical that you get every ounce of strength out of that line, you might want to go ahead and do the Improved Clinch Knot. But what you'll notice is you will waste more of your leader material. I've got a lot longer tag there to cut off. You can't really avoid that if you do the Improved Clinch Knot. So let's do that again, one more time. Improved Clinch Knot. Go through the eye of the hook. Pull out three or four inches. Wrap it, one, two, three, four, five wraps. Back through the first loop. And then we go back through the second loop again. Wet it. And we tighten it up. And that's your Improved Clinch Knot."
