"Hello, I’m Jacob Garcia with JGG Fitness Denver. On behalf of ExpertVillage.com, I’d like to show you an abdominal exercise that focuses on the oblique muscles which are the muscles on the side of your stomach. This exercise is called the wood chop. And what you need is a multi-purpose pulley system and a hand grip. You’re going to have the pulley system set at shoulder height and you’re going to grab the handle with your left hand and walk out until you fill some tension on the rope. Have your feet shoulder width apart, grab the handle with your right hand and you’re going to keep your arms straight as you bring it across your body to the other side. Like I said, this is a great exercise for your oblique muscles. You should be able to do about 12 to 15, and then you’re going to repeat the same exercise facing the opposite direction so it works the other side of your stomach. "
