"The next topic we're going to cover is the nutrition and hydration during the run. Now, you want to try to find a balance with the amount of water and sodium you take in and the amount of calories, because, if you overload your system, you're gonna be digesting and it's gonna cause cramping and it's gonna cause you to slow down. But, if you don't have enough, you're eventually gonna run out you're going to bonk and you're going to become dehydrated and you're gonna have problems. So, one of the main things to keep in mind is you're gonna want to replenish the calories you're burning every hour, every hour you're burning anywhere between six hundred and a thousand calories an hour but, your body can only replenish so many of those every hour. So, ideally, you want to take in a couple hundred calories every hour but, it varies between the person, the metabolism type, and the environment you're in. And then the next thing you're gonna want to do is, anywhere between six to eight to twelve ounces of water an hour depending on how hot and humid it is and the body type you have."
