"The next concept we're going to cover is running technique. Now some things to keep in mind for running technique are to let your body be relaxed. That is one of the most common problems is people tense up and they use too much energy, and that ends up being a problem, especially in the longer races. Another common problem is people like to over stride, they like to get a longer stride, but that's a bad idea. You like to have shorter strides, and ideally you want your foot to be underneath your body. It will be a much more efficient foot strike, and it will be a lot faster way to run. You want your face to be relaxed, you want your shoulders to be relaxed, and you want your arms to swing parallel to the ground. "
