"Now I'm going to show you another exercise for you lower body, called the Lunge. I'm going to be showing you stationary lunge. Which means you won't be moving. Now you're going to be applying the same principals you did with the squat. You're going to place the tube underneath your arch and lift the handles to your shoulders. What I want you to do is you're going to step out with your front foot, and your back foot is only used for balance. So you should be up on your back toe. Ok. Both toes facing forward. the knees should be in the direction of your toes. Now your stance needs to be wide so that your knee does not go past your toe, and it stays over your foot. Very important for the integrity of your knee again. Ok. So from here what i want you to do is focus all your energy onto your front foot. And press your heel so that you feel this exercise in your glut and your quad. This takes quite a bit of balance. So if your a beginner exerciser, I do not recommend this exercise. You're going to drop your back knee down toward the ground. Ok. Back knee comes straight down toward the ground, as your thinking about pressing through the heel of your front foot. Once again, do not lockout your knee as you come up. Keep that knee soft. And focus on the muscle groups your working, which is your glut and your quadricep. You can also vary this exercise as well by increasing the pace. You can do these fast. I don't recommend you do them too fast. But you can also do them slow. And you can also do an isometric hold. And then progress into picking up the tempo. So there's several different ways you can do your lunge. But first and foremost, I need that knee to stay right over your foot, it does not go past your toe. And make sure that if you are a beginner exerciser, that you do not attempt this exercise."
