"GINA KENNEDY: Supta Baddha Konasan or Lying Bound Angle is a really great way to relieve tension from your hips and to let a heavy day go. We're going to ask Faith to demonstrate this for us today. So, she's going to lay down and although Faith is very flexible, I'm going to ask her to put on her inflexible knees. Good. And she's going to bring the soles of her feet together so that she's laying in what they call "bound angle". And notice that Faith's knees do not touch the ground and you might find your knees don't either. So, what we do is we use blocks to place under your knees so that you can press into the blocks and open up through your inner thighs just a little bit more, relieving stress through the hips. Good. She's just going to breathe. This is also a really nice restorative pose after you've had a heavy day of work. Good. But the main thing is she's going to keep pressing her knees out to the sides and into the blocks to open up through her inner thighs as she breathes. Supta Baddha Konasan."
