"Faith is going to help me demonstrate a Half Warrior Lunge with a side stretch. Which is going to allow her to deepen her hip flexer stretch and bring it even into a nice soaz stretch. So, we're going to have her just come up a little bit and bring her hands forward. Actually, let's have you come on the diagonal. Good. Placing her hands and then placing her foot, grounding her foot down in between her palms. Good. Notice that her knee is directly over her ankle for her knee's safety. We want to keep it right that way at a ninety degree angle. Good. She's going to tilt her tail bone under and draw her belly in. And, then sink forward. The further she can sink forward the more she's going to get into that hip. Now, she's going to walk her hands up her shin and place them on her thigh. Good. And, then press on her hands and lengthen out through her spine. Again, the more she can tilt her tail bone under and draw her belly in the more she can move her hip forward and come into that stretch. I'm going to place this block right next to her hip. And, she's just going to take her hand down and lean on that just extending the floor up to her hand. She's going to reach her arm up to the sky. Inhale in and then as she exhales, she leans over. Now, it's very important that she rotates her torso, her hip forward and that's really going to help her. Can you feel the difference in that? So, you can really get a better stretch through that hip flexer and all the way through the soaz muscle. It really feels great."
