"Hi , I'm Dr. Garrett Smith for Expert Village. On this next exercise is one of the most difficult of the lunge exercises because we're going to be traveling with these lunges. Basically, everything is the same as the front lunges that we've been over before in this sequence. We're just stepping through instead of stepping back into the same spot. Basic lunge, followed by another basic lunge. If I had more space, I would keep going. For now, I'm just going to turn around and show you. Basic lunge to the front, basic lunge to the front. I would not suggest doing these backwards. It just doesn't work so well, you can't see where you're going, just not not a great exercise. Again, walking lunges. Important stuff, make sure you step far enough ahead that you can hit all those 90 degrees that we talked about in those earlier lunge sequences. Then we go into the next one and we can continue on as far as we want. Walking lunges are much more like lunges that we might do in real life, if we were needing to do that. Because we're traveling, very rarely would be stay in one spot and just keep lunging over and over. Again, feet straight ahead, we're not doing Yoga lunges. Feet are straight ahead, we push off with the back leg to drive it through. Walking lunges are a great addition addition to any exercise. They're great in the warm-up and they're great to do between other leg exercises. Those are walking lunges. "
