This next exercise we're going to go over is band assisted pull ups. These are for people who can't do regular normal body weight pull ups at this point. What we're going to use is we're going to use some of these bands. These, particularly, are called Jump Stretch bands. You can find them under that name and there's also other brands called Iron Woody or similar things on the Internet. You want it to be a strong band. These are made for power lifting, so these are made to withstand a lot of force. To tie them on here, basically, like you were going to tie rubber bands together. You know, when you were a kid and you looped them together. You're going to take one end on the other side of the pull-up bar, loop this through, pull it all the way through just like you were looping rubber bands together as a kid. Now you've got, I'm using two bands on this one so I can have one on each foot. If you only have one band, you can use just one band and put it on either one foot or both feet. Your feet are going to go in these. These are rubber bands they snap back so be very careful. Pull it down, get it in the middle of your foot. Again, same thing with the other one. Getting them on isn't too bad, getting them off is where you want to be very careful because they've got a lot of tension in them. We grab the bar, we have these rubber bands helping us now, so then you do a pull up. For most people the bottom part is a really hard part to get out of so that where these help the most. Pull up, chin over the bar, the whole time we're getting assistance from these bands. Now, when we are getting these off, when you're getting it off your foot, grab it with your hands so you have control of it, and you can put slack in it, pull it off your foot real easy, let it up until the tension comes out of it. Same thing on this side. Pull it down so you have control of it, take your foot out, and let it up. These snap, OKay? We don't want to get injured while we're exercising, the point of exercising is so we don't get injured. Be very careful with these. These are bands we can use them to assist the pull up. What we just did was the band assisted pull up.
