"Hi! I'm Dave Feraco on behalf of Expert Village. One piece of cardio equipment we haven't talked about yet that I'd like to mention is an arm bike. The arm bike is excellent for people who have injuries to their legs and can't either get on a treadmill, an elliptical trainer, or a bike. Maybe they have broken leg, a sprained ankle, but they still want to get a cardiovascular workout, the arm bike is the machine to use. While sitting as if you're on a bike, simply grasp the handles in front of you and pedal using your arms. While this particular of cardiovascular equipment won't give you the same workout as a treadmill or an elliptical trainer or a bike. For those that may not be able to use those particular types of equipment, this will at least allow somebody to get a cardiovascular workout in. Another use of the arm bike is to warm-up the upper body before a weight train. Simply by pedaling for 2-3 minutes, it loosens the muscles of the upper body, gets them warmed up and gets the blood flowing. "
