"Balancing poses is a nice part of any yoga practice. In prenatal yoga, it's also the same. When you're doing any balancing poses, please remember if you're unsteady on your feet, please feel free to go up next to a wall or have a chair next to you so you have that security there. Emily is going to show us the tree today. She's going to start in a nice equal standing pose, feeling that nice center and that nice balance to begin with. Tree is a very opening pose, so the first thing I'm going to have you do is open up your right hip by turning the right knee out to the right. Coming on to your right toe. Let it lean against that left leg. Beautiful. You have many choices here. You can leave the toe on the earth for a little bit security. You can bring the sole of your foot onto your calf. Never the knee. Never push or pull on your knee. Or all the way to the inner thigh if you've been practicing a while. With tree pose, her right leg is open, so we're going to have her bring her left hand right underneath the baby. Beautiful. Right hand comes right on top. Finding her balance. Find a nice spot to stare out. Find that centering. You can keep your hands right there on your baby. If you like, you can grow your family tree branches. Inhaling, arms all the way up. Beautiful. Grow those branches. Finding her balance. To come out of it very slowly. Inhale, palms together. Exhaling, down heart center. Then gently releasing the foot back down to the ground. Make sure you do both sides to stay completely balanced."
