"GINA KENNEDY: Matsyasana and Dhanurasana, or fish pose, is a really great pose to open up your lungs, increase circulation to the lungs. It's a great one to use if you have any breathing difficulties or maybe asthma. Some people say that you should practice fish pose at the end of every yoga practice and hold it for at least 10 breaths. So, we're going to have Faith demonstrate this for us. So, she's just going to lie down at first. Good. And she's just going to place her arms alongside her body. Good. Now she's going to press into her forearms and press into her hands and lift herself up just--yes, lift herself up. Good. And then I'm going to place the block underneath. There we go. I can get it underneath her chest. That's still not right even--there you go. So, you want to have it underneath your shoulder blades and if you see how that opens up her chest. Good. We're going to take another block and place it under her head, particularly if you have any neck problems. Is that okay? Okay, good. So her head is just relaxing and notice how this is opening up her chest. She's pressing into her forearms and if she'd like to take this into a little abdominal work, she can press through her toes and lift her legs up. Good. Beautiful. Fish pose, to open up your chest, brings circulation to the lungs."
