"GINA KENNEDY: Another way to prep yourself for coming in to forearm balances is by strengthening your arms through using a block. So, I'm going to have Faith just take the block in between her hands. And she's just going to press that block together. Good. So, she's going to use her biceps and her triceps and just keep pressing into that block. Good. Just to strengthen through those arm muscles. Good. She's now just going to bring this block over her head and drop her elbows down. So, we want the block and her elbows--her elbows tucked in and the block right in line with her head, right. Because her forearms, when she's in an arm balance, would be on the ground and her head would be right there. Good. So then, I'm just going to press her arms down, and she's going to give me a little bit of resistance, and then, I'm going to let her extend her arms all the way up. So bring them on up. Good. And then lower the arms down, again, right to elbow, and then press again. Good. Keep pressing. Keep pressing up, try to straighten. And that's just going to give her a little bit of arm strength. Good. Do it one more time. So, I'm going to press and you're going to resist. Yeah. So, if you're doing this but--with yourself and you don't have a partner, you can just do that yourself and use the resistance. So, she's just going to do it herself and resist, allowing herself to lift the block up, building strength. So, we will then be--again to come to forearm balances and head stand."
