So this exercise you want to have your feet wide apart, even wider than the width of your mat. And you are going to sit up nice and tall and then slowly use your abdominals to release your torso down to the floor. Pose with all your ribs together, extend your spine long, release your hands down and then releasing both knees to the same direction, you're going to stretch from the hip point down towards the knee. But try to keep the thigh bone working back towards the floor. If you want a deeper stretch you can take your opposite foot to place on your knee and assist yourself in stretching your knee more towards the floor, trying to keep the shoulders drawing back and your neck nice and comfortable and then you can exhale, release your feet and rotate to the other side.
