"Hi! I'm here with Laura again. We're going to do knee stretches, which is great to work the quads as well as the abdominals. We're going to do 3 different spine positions. We're going to start with a flat back. I'm going to have her push out on an inhale actually. The exhale we're drawing the body in and we're going to do pulses. Really tightening the abdominals as she's squeezing the quads as she comes in. Good shoulder stability here. Good. 3 more, 3. Head in line with the upper thoracic, 2, and 1, great. I'm going to have her come back in. Right now, we're on flat back. With Pilates, we want to reach all the different areas of the spine. We're going to go into flexion now. I'm going to have her flex under. The belly button is going to come in towards the spine. The head is going to fall the upper thoracic in this flexion. I'm going to have her inhale as she moves out and exhale pulling in again. Abdominals and quads working as she comes in. Great stretch for runners. Great work for runners because you're working those quads to get them strong as we use the knees when we're running. Good, 2 more, 2. Now I'm going to have her come back in. We're now going to go into extensions. The butt is going to slightly out, the head still stays in line so it's going to come up and follow the natural line. Shoulder is stable. Inhale coming out and exhale pulling it in for 3 more. 3, 2, shoulders stable, 1. Good. Coming back in, and those are some knee stretches."
