"Let's try it with the dumbells. So, instead of putting a barbell on our back we're going to hold these dumbells at our sides. Now if you feel a little bit uncomfortable with the dumbells, put them on the ground and just make contact with them without picking them up. Let the arms hang nice and straight, bend the hips and knees, come right out of it. Always hips and knees move first on the way down and on the way up. I'm going to take a deep breath on the way down, exhale and come right back up. Ideally you want to keep everything forward and straight, knees straight, head straight, chest flat. For those who are a little bit more advanced, you can add a couple of pressing movements in between the squat. A little bit more dynamic. Or you can get a heavy pole and put it behind your back and do the same movements. However, we do not recommend putting anything on your back until you've tested out your little back straightener. That is the squat!"
