" Hi! My name is Corey Beasley, I’m the owner of DNA Fitness. I’m going to go through an explosive squat and then also a jumping squat. These are little bit more advanced exercises. This is a basic body weights squat so your are going to want to take the proper measures to prepare yourself for these types of movements. We’re going to start with the explosive squat. Starts out just very similar to the body weight squat; with your feet about shoulder width apart, and chest up. You’re going to sit back, and you’re going to come up on to your toes. You’re not going to come off the ground. It’s just more of an explosive movement, straight up. From the side again, you’re going to just be a regular body weight squat, feet shoulder width apart, and chest up. You’re sitting back and coming up explosively onto your toes. Straight down up on your toes. The biggest difference between this one and the jumping squat is the jumping squat is an explosive movement up off the ground. For this one, you’re looking for height. Again, this is a very advanced movement. You want to prepare yourself properly. With this one, again, it’s just feet shoulder width apart, sitting all the way back, and then you’re jumping for a height. You’re going explosive all the way up; as high as you can go. Again, from the side; chest up, hips back, and exploding up as high as you can go. That’s very explosive. You’re probably going to do about 4, 5 of these in a row, because you will get winded. It’s explosive, and you’re not going to be able to go for a very long. That’s an explosive squat and a jumping squat."
